Extremely easy main dish recipes?

:) I'm one of those girls who happen to just absolutely suck at the cooking thing, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any extremely easy main dish type recipes?

I'm wanting to make a nice meal for 2 one night, preferably nothing too spicy or with too many vegetables......... any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)Extremely easy main dish recipes?

Try chicken and rice. Use 2 cups of rice and 2 1/2 cups of water. Mix in 1 can cream of chicken soup and add 2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts.Cover and Bake at 350 for about 45 min.
FLANK STEAK, SHALLOTS %26amp; VINEGAR :

1 big flank steak (or skirt steak)

tons of sliced shallots

1 1/2 glass of vinegar

butter

salt %26amp; pepper

In a pan, put some butter, then when melted, add the shallots, a little salt %26amp; pepper and

when golden, take them out and put the steak in the pan, salt %26amp; pepper again.

Cook on medium heat. When golden on both size, add the shallots and the vinegar and

let it reduced a little. When you have an homogeneous sauce, it's done.

Serve with boiled potatoes or fresh pasta

LAMB ROAST %26amp; POTATOES :

Lamb leg (boneless)

Garlic

Thyme %26amp; bay leaves

Salt %26amp; pepper

Very small potatoes

Butter

French mustard (Maille is best (Walmart superstore), but Grey Poupon will do,

but nothing else)

Pearced the lamb a few times and stuff some peeled garlic in the holes.

Salt %26amp; pepper the lamb and spread some French mustard on it.

In a big oven dish, put a good piece of butter, bay leaves %26amp; thyme, and 6-7 garlic cloves.

In the oven it goes, at 380掳.

Check some time to time and add a little of very hot water so that you always have a juice.

Add the cleaned but not peeled potatoes about 15-20 minutes before

the lamb is done so they cook in the juice.

Also, pour some of this juice regularly on top of the lamb and potatoes with a spoon.

The lamb must be pink inside, not well done.

And if you feel brave, a little more difficult, but not much

STEAKS + COGNAC %26amp; MUSHROOMS SAUCE :

4 steaks

butter

cognac

mushrooms (like morels or a blend of wild)

double cream or cr猫me fra卯che

salt %26amp; pepper

In a pan, cook the steaks in butter, salt %26amp; pepper.

When they're at mid cooking, add the mushrooms.

Turn up the heat to the max, pour some cognac and light the fire.

Stir and turn the steaks. When fire is off, add the cream. They're ready

You can do the same, but instead, don't use mushrooms at all and

do a sauce with cream and blue cheese, salt and pepper on the side.

Still use the cognac and the flamb茅 process with the steaks,

but pour the sauce indivually in the plate, not in the pan

You can do it just take your time
Not sure what cooking tools you have, but a small pot roast either in a crock pot all day or put in a covered baking dish (higher sides is best) with a little liquid on 350 until at 170 degrees internal.

Good luck.
my favorite rib sticking dish is a goulash of

good ground chuck ether browned or meatballed..

over extra wide noodles with a cream of celery soup

no water added right out the can..

add a touch of butter and a very small amount of milk

for that extra creamy taste..

only takes 20 mins from start to finish to make
Same here - I am not in to cooking... so, here is one dish that was easy for me, and tasted good at the end: Chicken Tikka Masala: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-make鈥?/a>

Hope, it will be easy for you too! And good luck!
Chicken %26amp; Stuffing Bake

1 package Stove Top Stuffing

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 can cream of chicken soup

1/4 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13X9 baking dish. Make Stove Top stuffing per the box directions in the microwave. When cooked, seperate into four servings in the baking dish. Cover each stuffing serving with a chicken breast. Combine chicken soup and sour cream and spread on top of each chicken breast. Cover with foil and bake for 40-45 minutes.

Serve with a vegetable or a bag of salad! Easy...my kids love this one.
check allrecipes.com they have basic recipes
Do a classic..........

Steak (seasoned merely with sea salt, cracked black pepper and fresh rosemary leaves) and grilled (or seared in a skillet for 10-12 min. depending on the cut and the desired rareness).

With baked potato - (nuke in the microwave about 6 minutes, piercing them first with a fork). Serve with butter, chives, sour cream.

And vegetable or salad of choice.

That's BASIC - no muss, no fuss entree stuff. With very few ingredients, yet makes a nice, classic meal.

Have fun. Good luck and remember, your dessert you offer can be the highlight of the evening.......... do a chocolate fondue and dip fruit or angel food cake. It's perfect, romantic and fun!!! :)
