My church is having a ';pot luck'; of sorts tonight and needed more food, so now i'm stuck on what to make. I don't want to make pasta or rice. 1 lb. ground turkey, browned with:
Sprinkle of garlic salt
Dash of cumin
1 onion, chopped
Dash of fajita seasoning
Dash of pepper
Add: 1 can cream of mushroom or chicken soup
Some green chilies
12 oz. salsa
Simmer. Heat flour tortillas and roll grated cheddar cheese inside. Place in a casserole and pour meat mixture on top. Sprinkle with more cheese. Bake twenty minutes at 350 degrees.Need SIMPLE main dish recipes for tonight.?
Sausage %26amp; peppers or fried chicken are pretty easy to make for a crowd.
Here is a Sausage %26amp; Pepper recipe...
48 ounces sweet Italian sausage links, pricked with fork
1/2 cup water
4 large green bell peppers, cut into strips (or use red bell peppers or combination of both)
4 large onions, cut into slices (not rings)
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
In a skillet, bring sausage links and water to a boil over medium heat. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Remove cover and continue to cook, turning sausages frequently until water has evaporated and sausages are well browned, about 20 minutes.
Transfer sausages to paper towels to drain.
Pour off all but 1 tablespoon fat from skillet. Add green peppers, onions, garlic, and salt; cook over medium heat, stirring vegetables frequently until they are tender.
Add the cooked sausage to the peppers and onions and cook until sausages are hot again. Serves 12~

1/2 cup Butter
4 oz. Cream Cheese
1 cup + 2 Tbs. All-purpose Flour (divided)
10-oz package frozen Chopped Spinach
1 cup Cheddar Cheese, grated
1 cup Swiss Cheese, grated
3 whole Eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 jar Bacon Bits OR 10 slices Bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
8 oz. fresh Mushrooms, sliced
1 bunch Green Onions or Scallions, trimmed and sliced
Combine the butter, cream cheese, and 1 cup of the flour in a small bowl. Mix with a pastry blender or fork, cutting the butter and cream cheese into the flour until a consistently crumbly mixture is formed.
Place the flour mixture in a 10'; pie plate or quiche pan, and press evenly to form a crust. Refrigerate. Pre-heat the oven to 350掳F.
Cook the spinach in a pot of lightly salted boiling water, drain well, and chop. Drain the spinach again on paper towels to remove all excess moisture.
In a large bowl, combine the spinach with the two tablespoons flour. Add the cheddar and Swiss cheeses, eggs, mayonnaise, milk, bacon bits or crumbled bacon, mushrooms, and green onions.
Pour the mixture into the chilled pastry shell and bake for 1 hour, or until set. Serve warm.
TOMATO QUICHE
3 large tomatoes, chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 Tb. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 8'; prepared pie shell
1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, diced
3 eggs, well beaten
1 c. half %26amp; half
Combine tomatoes, onion, butter, salt %26amp; thyme in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until mixture is reduced by half. Place cheese on bottom of prepared pie shell. Pour tomato mixture over the cheese. Mix eggs %26amp; cream and pour over tomatoes. Bake for 10 min at 425; reduce temp to 375 and bake another 35 min (or until set). Let quiche rest a few minutes before cutting.....
Do a potato salad:
* waxy potato boiled for at least 30 minutes in salty water; drained then cut to bite size
* chopped celery, bell pepper, onion etc. to taste
* sauce = mustard (yellow French is fine) + mayo LATER + pepper + lemon juice
mix them all up just before serving, add freshly minced parsley or anything you have =

1-2 lbs. diced ham
1 bag mixed cheese
1 egg

Stir to combine. Spread on top of store bought or homemade garlic bread. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 1/2 hour to 40 minutes or until cheese is brown and bubbly. Reheat in oven briefly when you get to church just to warm them back up. Serve with soup tomato soup if you wish!

Basil Chicken With Fresh Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
25-30 fresh basil leaves (rinsed)
2 large tomatoes (rinsed)
4 boneless chicken cutlets
1 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
1/2 teaspoon pepper, divided
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
2 teaspoons + 1 tablespoon minced garlic
4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
Steps
1. Preheat 2-sided tabletop grill. Chop basil (about 6 tablespoons) and tomatoes coarsely. Place tomatoes and 2 tablespoons of the basil in food processor (or blender); set aside.
2. Season both sides of chicken with 1/2 teaspoon of the salt and 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper (wash hands).
3. Combine in shallow bowl: 1 tablespoon of the oil, 2 teaspoons of the garlic, and remaining 4 tablespoons basil. Add chicken (wash hands); turn to coat evenly. Marinate 10 minutes, turning occasionally.

1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon five spices powder
1 (7 1/2-ounce) jar duck sauce
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce

2. Combine in medium mixing bowl: seasoned salt, five spices, duck sauce and teriyaki sauce. (Reserve 1/4 cup for dipping.)

4. Place chicken on grill, discarding bag and marinade. Close lid and grill 3-4 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165掳F. Serve with reserved dipping sauce.

Ingredients
1 (16-ounce) bag baby carrots
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 cup light brown sugar

1. Place in microwave-safe bowl: carrots, butter, honey, seasoned salt and brown sugar.
2. Cover, and microwave on high for 5 minutes.
3. Remove from microwave and stir. Microwave an additional 5 minutes. Serve.
Tropical Fruit Rice
Ingredients
1 (15 1/4-ounce) can tropical fruit salad (drained)
1 1/2 cups water
2 cups instant rice
salt and pepper, to taste

1. Place fruit in medium saucepan.
2. Add water. Cover and bring to boil on high.
3. Stir in rice. Cover, remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.

This is a delicious recipe and pretty darn easy to make, but you'd never believe it by tasting it.
Creamy Carmel Flan
1/2 C sugar
1 2/3 C sweetened condensed milk (one can)
1 C milk
3 eggs
1 t vanilla
In a small sauce pan melt your 1/2 C sugar until liquid and a medium tan color, pour into the bottom of your baking dish.Turn dish to assure that your sugar syrup coats the entire bottom of your dish. ( I use a 9'; round pie pan) In a blender blend your sweetened condensed milk, eggs, vanilla, and milk until mixed well. Poor your egg mixture over your sugar syrup and place your pan on a cookie sheet. Place cookie sheet in a pre-heated 350 degree oven. Pour hot water in cookie sheet, this gives your flan a hot water bath to bake in. Bake for an hour, or until a light golden. Remove your flan from the oven and let cool completely. Take a butter knife and run it along the edges of your flan to loosen it from the pan. Place your serving plate over the top of your flan and turn upside down. Your flan now has a creamy Carmel sauce over the top of it. MMmm..this is so good, and I promise you, no one will ever know it was this easy to make.
P.S. You might want to make more than one, one flan will feed five people. I don't recommend doubling the recipe until you're comfortable with making custards.Pls send me some quick and delicious sweet dish recipes...newbee in cooking.?

Heat jam in a small glass bowl in microwave on high until just melted, about 30 seconds. In six small bowls or wineglasses, evenly distribute pound cake cubes. Pack cubes down slightly. Drizzle rum sauce and jam evenly over each. Spoon 3 tablespoons of pudding evenly over each. Refrigerate for 45 minutes. Garnish with raspberries and serve.

Remove and heat again. Transfer to an ice cream container, and freeze until fully set.
Whip the double cream with the confectioners鈥?sugar and the remaining mango pulp. Chill the sauce for 24 hours.
Remove the sorbet 10 minutes before serving. Scoop out individual servings and cover with a generous helping of mango sauce. Serve immediately.
Go out and buy a box of chocolate cake mix and bake it. Let it cool and cut it up into about 1 inch squares.
Chop up about 8 Skor chocolate bars.
You'll also need Cool Whip and Chocolate pudding( make 2 boxes)
Place a layer of cake at the bottom of a clear glass bowl or casserole dish.Spread a layer of chocolate pudding and the layer of Cool Whip and the sprinkle some Skor bars over top. You can repeat the layers a few times depending on how deep your bowl or dish is but i usually just do it twice.

go to allrecipes.com you can find recipes by catagory such as dessert, main course etc. AND they have great directions, how long it takes too. here is a quick and super easy sweet dessert. one box dry yellow cake mix, one stick butter melted, one can cherry pie filling, chopped walnut, lemon juice. put pie filling in cake pan 10x14 or whatever you have. lemon juice on top. not too much lemon juice, just about 2 tbsp. add melted butter and walnuts to dry cake mix, stir with fork til crumbly. evenly spread crumbly mixture on pie filling. bake on 350 about 25 min or until bubly and top is brown. everyone loves this!

I am 13 too. so lets start off with something simple like a yogurt parfait! All you will need is
2 cups vanilla yogurt
1 cup of granola
1-2 cups fo freash sliced fruit of your chose

I am 13 too. so lets start off with something simple like a yogurt parfait! All you will need is
2 cups vanilla yogurt
1 cup of granola
1-2 cups fo freash sliced fruit of your chose
layer the yougurt then fruit then yougurt. be sure to save some yougurt for the top of your dish. till all gone in a bowl or glass. add the last layer of yogurt . then sprinkle some granola. Enjoy this ttasty and healthy treat! YEILD: 4 servings!

I make chow mein at home all the time. Not sure where you are from, but here is a link to the powder I use to make the sauce: http://www.famousfoods.com/newengland-ch鈥?/a> the noodles are to die for. You can buy the box mix in Stop %26amp; Shop or Shaws Supermarkets.
I usually cube some pork and cook it in oil on the side. In a seperate pot I boil water with an onion (minced), 1 or 2 celery stalks (chopped) and a can of bean sprouts (drained). Once the pork is cooked I drop that right in. Just follow the directions for the power (you have to mix in warm water to dissolve) and pour that in too. It comes out great. Keep in mind you can add whatever kind of meat you want (i.e. chicken, shrimp, etc.).
Here is another recipe that I have, although it's not a normal chinese dish:
Oriental Chicken Casserole
3 cups cooked chicken (cubed)
1 陆 cups thinly sliced celery
1 medium onion (chopped to desired size)
1 small can (1/2 C.) sliced mushrooms (chopped)
1 8 oz. can sliced water chestnuts (chopped to desired size)
2 T. butter
陆 cup mayonnaise (more if needed)
陆 cup sour cream (more if needed)
2 T. Soy sauce
2 T. lemon juice (1 T. if a concentrate)
1 can (3 oz.) Durkee French fried onion rings
1 pkg. pasta egg noodle.
Directions
Boil chicken until done (don鈥檛 overcook) (remove any bones/skin), Set aside
Preheat oven 350oF
Sauce: Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, soy sauce and lemon juice together in small bowl. Set aside.
Saut茅 in large pan: 2 T. butter, the celery, onions, mushrooms (until onions are a little translucent 鈥?do not brown).
Add water chestnuts and chicken, and sauce mixture. Mix thoroughly.
Pour into ungreased 12 x 8 (?) glass casserole dish. Sprinkle with onion rings.
Bake 20 minutes or until hot.
Cook egg noodles (per package directions) to be done when casserole is done.
Serve over egg noodles (or plain, or over crunchy Chinese noodles) and enjoy!
**HINT: I subsititue the mushrooms and celery with bamboo shoots. Approximately 1/2 can; minced.

1. Rinse the chicken breasts under cold running water and pat dry. With a knife, make a few shallow, crosswise cuts in each breast to allow the marinade to penetrate.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the lemon juice and olive oil. Whisk in the soy sauce, red wine vinegar, cilantro, parsley, lemon zest, garlic, salt and black pepper. Reserve 3 - 4 tablespoons to use as a basting sauce.
3. Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl or a large resealable plastic bag. Add the marinade and cover the bowl or reseal the bag. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for 2 hours, turning occasionally to make sure the chicken breasts are coated.
4. Remove the chicken breasts from the bowl or bag and discard the excess marinade.
5. To grill: Preheat the grill. Lay the chicken breasts flat on the cooking surface. Grill the chicken, basting with the reserved marinade, for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear when pierced with a knife.
To broil: Place the thighs on a rack sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Broil the chicken on high heat, 9 inches from the cooking source, for about 15 minutes or until cooked through. Turn the chicken and baste with the reserved marinade every 5 minutes.
Serve with steamed rice.

This super easy beef stew uses only five ingredients and is healthy and delicious.
INGREDIENTS:
4 medium red potatoes
1-1/2 lbs. beef stew meat
1/3 cup flour
salt and pepper to taste
14 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cups water
3 cups frozen stir fry bell peppers and onions
PREPARATION:
Scrub potatoes and cut each into quarters. Place in bottom of 4 quart slow cooker. Mix flour, salt and pepper and toss with beef to coat. Add to crockpot. Add undrained tomatoes and water and stir.
Cover crockpot and cook on low for 7-8 hours until beef and potatoes are tender.

Pot Roast
1 (2-pound) blade cut chuck roast
2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons cumin
Vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
5 to 6 cloves garlic, smashed
1 cup tomato juice
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1 cup cocktail olives, drained and broken
1/2 cup dark raisins
Preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees F. Place a wide, heavy skillet or fry pan over high heat for 2 minutes. Meanwhile, rub both sides of meat with the salt and cumin. When the pan is hot (really hot) brown meat on both sides and remove from pan. Add just enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan then add the onion and garlic. Stir constantly until onion is softened. Add the tomato juice, vinegar, olives, and raisins. Bring to a boil and reduce the liquid by half. Create a pouch with wide, heavy duty aluminum foil. Place half the reduced liquid/chunk mixture on the foil, add the roast, and then top with the remaining mixture. Close the pouch, and wrap tightly in another complete layer of foil. Cook for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until a fork pushes easily into the meat. Remove from oven and rest (still wrapped) for at least 1/2 hour. Snip off 1 corner of the foil pouch and drain the liquid into a bowl or measuring cup. Add some of the ';chunkies'; and puree with an immersion blender. Slice meat thinly, or pull apart with a fork. Serve with sauce.

1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
3 pounds boneless pork ribs
1 (18 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce

Pour can of beef broth into slow cooker, and add boneless pork ribs. Cook on High heat for 4 hours, or until meat shreds easily. Remove meat, and shred with two forks. It will seem that it's not working right away, but it will.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Transfer the shredded pork to a Dutch oven or iron skillet, and stir in barbeque sauce.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until heated through.

Pot Roast
1 (2-pound) blade cut chuck roast
2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons cumin
Vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
5 to 6 cloves garlic, smashed
1 cup tomato juice
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1 cup cocktail olives, drained and broken
1/2 cup dark raisins
Preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees F. Place a wide, heavy skillet or fry pan over high heat for 2 minutes. Meanwhile, rub both sides of meat with the salt and cumin. When the pan is hot (really hot) brown meat on both sides and remove from pan. Add just enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan then add the onion and garlic. Stir constantly until onion is softened. Add the tomato juice, vinegar, olives, and raisins. Bring to a boil and reduce the liquid by half. Create a pouch with wide, heavy duty aluminum foil. Place half the reduced liquid/chunk mixture on the foil, add the roast, and then top with the remaining mixture. Close the pouch, and wrap tightly in another complete layer of foil. Cook for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until a fork pushes easily into the meat. Remove from oven and rest (still wrapped) for at least 1/2 hour. Snip off 1 corner of the foil pouch and drain the liquid into a bowl or measuring cup. Add some of the ';chunkies'; and puree with an immersion blender. Slice meat thinly, or pull apart with a fork. Serve with sauce.

1 (18 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce

Pour can of beef broth into slow cooker, and add boneless pork ribs. Cook on High heat for 4 hours, or until meat shreds easily. Remove meat, and shred with two forks. It will seem that it's not working right away, but it will.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Transfer the shredded pork to a Dutch oven or iron skillet, and stir in barbeque sauce.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until heated through.

Tamale Pie
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
16 oz can diced tomatoes
16 oz can corn, drained
4 oz can sliced olives
16 oz can kidney or black beans, drained and washed
1-3 t chili powder
1 cup corn meal
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Brown hamburger, onion and garlic. Drain well. Add tomatoes, corn, olives, beans and chili powder and heat through.
Mix corn meal, milk and eggs in a bowl.
If you did not use an oven proof skillet transfer meat mixture to an oven proof casserole dish. Pour corn meal mixture evenly over the top. Top with cheese.
Bake at 350 for 40-50. Serve with salsa and sour cream if desired.
CLASSIC CHICKEN DIVAN
6 chicken breasts
Bay leaves
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 c. mayonnaise
1 sm. pkg. sour cream
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Cook chicken in water and bay leaves until done. Cool, debone and cut into bite sized pieces. Cook broccoli according to package directions and drain well. Combine soup, mayonnaise, sour cream and lemon juice in a pan. Heat until bubbles, stirring well. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 3 quart greased baking dish layer broccoli, chicken and cheese. Pour soup mixture on top and dot with butter. Cook for about 30 minutes.

Place rack in lowest position in oven; preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spoon apple filling into pie shell. Bake 15 minutes. Batter the flour and leave it for raising.
On raising roll it with a pin roller as much as possibble
With the help of any lid having sharp eddge cut to round pieces of 4'; dia.
Prepare the following solution:
Boil the milk
Add sugar
Add food colour
Add either cardmom or Venilla
Leave this in warm state
Keep the oil in the frying pan and let go for heat under the gas burner.
Once the oil is hot put the rounds in the oil and let it fry to golden yellow
Take out the fried ones and leave it in the milk solution that is ready for use in a plate having depth of about 2';:
If you want to decorate you may put the cut dry fruits etc.
But no citrus has to be used. I
Leave it in the solution for about nearly 1 hour to soak and it will be a delicious sweet food.

Savory Ricotta Cakes
1 Pound Fresh Ricotta
2 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
1 Extra Large Egg
3 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
Salt %26amp; Pepper
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Sauce:
1 14 Ounce Can Imported Diced Italian Tomatoes
1 Clove Garlic, Finely Minced
2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Decrease To 1 Tablespoon If Wanting To Make A Lower Fat Version)
Salt %26amp; Pepper To Taste
3 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Basil
Dash Of Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
For Serving:
Grated Parmesan Cheese
Heat the oil in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, and add the garlic. As soon as the garlic begins to sizzle, but before it takes on color, add the tomatoes. Turn the heat to high, and as soon as the sauce begins to bubble, turn back down to medium low.
Season with salt and pepper, and red pepper flakes if you are using them, and add the basil. Cook just a couple of minutes more then remove from the heat and set aside until needed.
Place the ricotta in a fine strainer over a bowl and leave to drain in the refrigerator for one hour. Throw the liquid out and place the ricotta in a bowl with the flour, cheese, egg, salt and pepper. Mix just until blended.
In a non-stick skillet heat a little of the oil over medium heat and then drop the ricotta using a tablespoon spacing three small dollops in the pan at once. Savory Ricotta Cakes
1 Pound Fresh Ricotta
2 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
1 Extra Large Egg
3 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
Salt %26amp; Pepper
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Sauce:
1 14 Ounce Can Imported Diced Italian Tomatoes
1 Clove Garlic, Finely Minced
2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Decrease To 1 Tablespoon If Wanting To Make A Lower Fat Version)
Salt %26amp; Pepper To Taste
3 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Basil
Dash Of Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
For Serving:
Grated Parmesan Cheese
Heat the oil in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, and add the garlic. As soon as the garlic begins to sizzle, but before it takes on color, add the tomatoes. Turn the heat to high, and as soon as the sauce begins to bubble, turn back down to medium low.
Season with salt and pepper, and red pepper flakes if you are using them, and add the basil. Cook just a couple of minutes more then remove from the heat and set aside until needed.
Place the ricotta in a fine strainer over a bowl and leave to drain in the refrigerator for one hour. Throw the liquid out and place the ricotta in a bowl with the flour, cheese, egg, salt and pepper. Mix just until blended.
In a non-stick skillet heat a little of the oil over medium heat and then drop the ricotta using a tablespoon spacing three small dollops in the pan at once. 1 pound lean ground pork
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon salt

8 ounces fresh mushrooms, cut into quarters
1 small onion, chopped
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 cup dry sherry
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
- Hot cooked noodles
- Snipped parsley (optional)
In a mixing bowl combine ground pork, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper; mix well. Shape into 12 meatballs. In a large skillet
brown meatballs in hot oil; remove. Pour off pan drippings, reserving 2 tablespoons in skillet. Cook mushrooms and onion in

Serve with bread and Sauvignon Blanc
3 cloves crushed garlic
6 tablespoons olive oil
1/3 cup Sauvignon Blanc
3/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 cup minced clams with liquid (or 4 cans of clams with liquid)
1/4 teaspoon oregano
8 ounces linguini
12 hard shell clams
Grated Romano cheese
1. Saute garlic in olive oil until golden.
2. Add 1 tablespoon flour and stir until smooth.
3. Gradually add Sauvignon Blanc, parsley, claims with their liquid, and oregano.

In a seperate bowl mix cheese , fresh cream and egg untill , well blended. Season with pepper and salt and pour over the pasta mixuture. Season with salt to taste.

12 ounces skinless boneless chicken thighs
1 tablespoon butter
1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
1 cup chicken stock or canned low-salt chicken broth
3 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh basil
1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
8 ounces fettuccine
Additional grated Parmesan cheese
Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Melt butter in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until brown on both sides, about 5 minutes. Transfer chicken to plate. Add green and red bell peppers and onion to same skillet and saut茅 until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper to skillet and saut茅 4 minutes. Add whipping cream and chicken stock. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly, about 8 minutes.

2 12 ounce cans evaporated skim milk

6 no boil lasagna noodles
1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
1 10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained and squeezed dry
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, divided
3/4 cup preshredded reduced fat pizza blend cheese or cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 450F. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add flour; cook 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk, stirring with a whisk until blended. Stir in salt and nutmeg; cook until thick, stirring constantly about 3 minutes. Spread 1/2 cup sauce in bottom of an 8 inch square baking dish coated with cooking spray. Arrange 2 noodles over sauce; top with half of chicken and half of spinach. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon pepper; top with 3/4 cup sauce. Repeat layers, ending with noodles. 12 ounces Angel Hair, uncooked
1 10 ounce box frozen baby peas, defrosted
1 1/2 cups 1% milk
1 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 small red onion, peeled and sliced very thin
2 cups chopped extra lean ham
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Cook pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking, combine 1/2 cup of the peas, milk, flour, salt and pepper in a blender jar or food processor. Blend until very smooth. Add remaining peas, without blending and set aside. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and ham and cook, tossing, until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Add milk mixture, reduce heat to low and simmer 3 minutes, stirring constantly. When pasta is done, drain well, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta cooking liquid. Add ham sauce and reserved pasta cooking liquid. Stir over low heat until pasta is coated with sauce. Transfer to a serving platter or plates. I have a daughter that can't have tomato sauce so we either use soups, Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Chicken or Clam Chowder over the spaghetti.
pasta, pesto sauce is scrummy....cheap, quick and easy. You could add the above meats/mushrooms. sweetcorn if you like to bulk it up even more
pasta puttanesca is the best and easiest thing ever. and it makes you look like a great cook. you can vary the recipe according to your tastes, but start with a can or two (depending on the number of people for whom you are cooking) of whole tomatoes. if you can find the ones with basil, so much the better. don't throw the tomatoes in the pan with the seeds in them. half the fun is cutting them open and squeezing the seeds out. (good messy fun for kids) cut them in eighths, and toss them in a pan with a bit of olive oil. add garlic, onions, black olives, artichoke hearts, pancetta (or anchovy fillets), and capers. optional ingredients: finely diced green peppers, mushrooms, a tiny bit of heavy cream. just let it all saute until it becomes a cohesive sauce. the juice from the tomatoes should keep it from drying out. add oregano, basil, (or italian seasoning if you don't have the individual ingredients) put it on any pasta, but i think capellini is the best.
Chicken Al Carbonara -
slices pancetta ham, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
2 1/2 c heavy cream
oil
1 c grated parmesan
16 oz box spaghetti
8 egg yolks
chicken (1-2c) broken up.
fresh parsley and basil
Fry ham and garlic in a little oil until crisp. Set aside. Start
spaghetti. In a bowl, beat egg yolks. Add cream and parmesan and mix. Add parsley and basil. Wisk into cream. Brown chicken then add to ham. Add pasta directly from pan to chicken. Then add cream mixture. Heat on low (slowly). You can add lemon zest and chopped toasted walnuts before serving.

1 pkg spaghetti
1 TBS margarine
1 c fresh sliced mushrooms
1 c chopped onion
1 c chopped green pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 c flour

1 1/4 c milk
3/4 c shredded sharp Chedar
1 1/2 c skinned, shredded roasted,chicken breast
3/4 c chopped ham
2/3 c grated Parmesan, divided
1/4 c dry sherry
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 jar diced pimiento
veg cooking spray
1 tsp paprika
2 TBS sliced almonds
Cook spaghetti and drain well.Rinse under cold water, drain well and set aside. Melt butter in pan and add mushrooms and next 3 ingredients.; saute 4 min or until tender. Stir in flour, poultry seasoning and pepper cook stirring constantly 30 seconds. Gradually add milk and cook stirring constantly 1 1/2 min or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 c cheddar stirring until cheese melts. Add chicken, ham, 1/3 c parmesan and next 3 ingredients. Stir well. Combine spaghetti and chicken mixture in a large bowl and stir well. Spoon into a sprayed 13x9
dish. Combine remaining parmesan and paprika and stir well. Sprinkle parmesan mix, remaining cheddar, and almonds in alternating diagonal rows across top of casserole. Bake uncovered 350 for 20 min or until bubbly.

1 lb noodles
1/2 lb grated swiss
1/2 lb ham cubed
1 onion, sliced
2-3 TBS butter
Cook noodles and drain well. Put a layer of noodles in a casserole dish. Top layer with a layer of cheese and ham, then noodles, and so on. Brown onions in butter and put on top. Serve or keep hot in oven.

2 TBS minced garlic
2 shakes garlic powder

I have a daughter that can't have tomato sauce so we either use soups, Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Chicken or Clam Chowder over the spaghetti.
pasta, pesto sauce is scrummy....cheap, quick and easy. You could add the above meats/mushrooms. sweetcorn if you like to bulk it up even more
pasta puttanesca is the best and easiest thing ever. and it makes you look like a great cook. you can vary the recipe according to your tastes, but start with a can or two (depending on the number of people for whom you are cooking) of whole tomatoes. if you can find the ones with basil, so much the better. don't throw the tomatoes in the pan with the seeds in them. half the fun is cutting them open and squeezing the seeds out. (good messy fun for kids) cut them in eighths, and toss them in a pan with a bit of olive oil. add garlic, onions, black olives, artichoke hearts, pancetta (or anchovy fillets), and capers. optional ingredients: finely diced green peppers, mushrooms, a tiny bit of heavy cream. just let it all saute until it becomes a cohesive sauce. the juice from the tomatoes should keep it from drying out. add oregano, basil, (or italian seasoning if you don't have the individual ingredients) put it on any pasta, but i think capellini is the best.
Chicken Al Carbonara -
slices pancetta ham, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
2 1/2 c heavy cream
oil
1 c grated parmesan
16 oz box spaghetti
8 egg yolks
chicken (1-2c) broken up.
fresh parsley and basil
Fry ham and garlic in a little oil until crisp. Set aside. Start
spaghetti. In a bowl, beat egg yolks. Add cream and parmesan and mix. Add parsley and basil. Wisk into cream. Brown chicken then add to ham. Add pasta directly from pan to chicken. Then add cream mixture. Heat on low (slowly). You can add lemon zest and chopped toasted walnuts before serving.

1 pkg spaghetti
1 TBS margarine
1 c fresh sliced mushrooms
1 c chopped onion

3/4 c shredded sharp Chedar

veg cooking spray
1 tsp paprika
2 TBS sliced almonds
Cook spaghetti and drain well.Rinse under cold water, drain well and set aside. Melt butter in pan and add mushrooms and next 3 ingredients.; saute 4 min or until tender. Stir in flour, poultry seasoning and pepper cook stirring constantly 30 seconds. Gradually add milk and cook stirring constantly 1 1/2 min or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 c cheddar stirring until cheese melts. Add chicken, ham, 1/3 c parmesan and next 3 ingredients. Stir well. Combine spaghetti and chicken mixture in a large bowl and stir well. Spoon into a sprayed 13x9
dish. Combine remaining parmesan and paprika and stir well. Sprinkle parmesan mix, remaining cheddar, and almonds in alternating diagonal rows across top of casserole. Bake uncovered 350 for 20 min or until bubbly.

1 lb noodles
1/2 lb grated swiss
1/2 lb ham cubed
1 onion, sliced
2-3 TBS butter
Cook noodles and drain well. Put a layer of noodles in a casserole dish. Top layer with a layer of cheese and ham, then noodles, and so on. Brown onions in butter and put on top. Serve or keep hot in oven.

1 pkg. pasta egg noodle.
Directions
Boil chicken until done (don鈥檛 overcook) (remove any bones/skin), Set aside
Preheat oven 350oF
Sauce: Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, soy sauce and lemon juice together in small bowl. Set aside.
Saut茅 in large pan: 2 T. butter, the celery, onions, mushrooms (until onions are a little translucent 鈥?do not brown).
Add water chestnuts and chicken, and sauce mixture. Mix thoroughly.
Pour into ungreased 12 x 8 (?) glass casserole dish. Sprinkle with onion rings.
Bake 20 minutes or until hot.
Cook egg noodles (per package directions) to be done when casserole is done.
Serve over egg noodles (or plain, or over crunchy Chinese noodles) and enjoy!

3. Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl or a large resealable plastic bag. Add the marinade and cover the bowl or reseal the bag. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for 2 hours, turning occasionally to make sure the chicken breasts are coated.
4. Remove the chicken breasts from the bowl or bag and discard the excess marinade.
5. To grill: Preheat the grill. Lay the chicken breasts flat on the cooking surface. Grill the chicken, basting with the reserved marinade, for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear when pierced with a knife.
To broil: Place the thighs on a rack sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Broil the chicken on high heat, 9 inches from the cooking source, for about 15 minutes or until cooked through. Turn the chicken and baste with the reserved marinade every 5 minutes.
Serve with steamed rice.

This super easy beef stew uses only five ingredients and is healthy and delicious.
INGREDIENTS:
4 medium red potatoes
1-1/2 lbs. beef stew meat
1/3 cup flour
salt and pepper to taste
14 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained

3 cups frozen stir fry bell peppers and onions
PREPARATION:
Scrub potatoes and cut each into quarters. Place in bottom of 4 quart slow cooker. Mix flour, salt and pepper and toss with beef to coat. Add to crockpot. Add undrained tomatoes and water and stir.
Cover crockpot and cook on low for 7-8 hours until beef and potatoes are tender.

Pot Roast
1 (2-pound) blade cut chuck roast
2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons cumin
Vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
5 to 6 cloves garlic, smashed
1 cup tomato juice
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1 cup cocktail olives, drained and broken
1/2 cup dark raisins
Preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees F. Place a wide, heavy skillet or fry pan over high heat for 2 minutes. Meanwhile, rub both sides of meat with the salt and cumin. When the pan is hot (really hot) brown meat on both sides and remove from pan. Add just enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan then add the onion and garlic. Stir constantly until onion is softened. Add the tomato juice, vinegar, olives, and raisins. Bring to a boil and reduce the liquid by half. Create a pouch with wide, heavy duty aluminum foil. Place half the reduced liquid/chunk mixture on the foil, add the roast, and then top with the remaining mixture. Close the pouch, and wrap tightly in another complete layer of foil. Tamale Pie
1 lb ground beef

16 oz can diced tomatoes
16 oz can corn, drained
4 oz can sliced olives
16 oz can kidney or black beans, drained and washed
1-3 t chili powder
1 cup corn meal
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Brown hamburger, onion and garlic. Drain well. Add tomatoes, corn, olives, beans and chili powder and heat through.
Mix corn meal, milk and eggs in a bowl.
If you did not use an oven proof skillet transfer meat mixture to an oven proof casserole dish. Pour corn meal mixture evenly over the top. Top with cheese.
Bake at 350 for 40-50. Serve with salsa and sour cream if desired.
CLASSIC CHICKEN DIVAN
6 chicken breasts
Bay leaves
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 c. mayonnaise
1 sm. pkg. sour cream
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Cook chicken in water and bay leaves until done. Cool, debone and cut into bite sized pieces. Cook broccoli according to package directions and drain well. Combine soup, mayonnaise, sour cream and lemon juice in a pan. Heat until bubbles, stirring well. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 3 quart greased baking dish layer broccoli, chicken and cheese. Pour soup mixture on top and dot with butter. Cook for about 30 minutes.

Milk : 1000 ml
Powdered Cardmom: 5 bits or Venila flavour
Food Colour : light orange
Batter the flour and leave it for raising.
On raising roll it with a pin roller as much as possibble
With the help of any lid having sharp eddge cut to round pieces of 4'; dia.
Prepare the following solution:
Boil the milk
Add sugar
Add food colour
Add either cardmom or Venilla
Leave this in warm state
Keep the oil in the frying pan and let go for heat under the gas burner.
Once the oil is hot put the rounds in the oil and let it fry to golden yellow
Take out the fried ones and leave it in the milk solution that is ready for use in a plate having depth of about 2';:
If you want to decorate you may put the cut dry fruits etc.
But no citrus has to be used. I
Leave it in the solution for about nearly 1 hour to soak and it will be a delicious sweet food.

Savory Ricotta Cakes
1 Pound Fresh Ricotta
2 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
1 Extra Large Egg
3 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
Salt %26amp; Pepper
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Sauce:
1 14 Ounce Can Imported Diced Italian Tomatoes
1 Clove Garlic, Finely Minced
2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Decrease To 1 Tablespoon If Wanting To Make A Lower Fat Version)
Salt %26amp; Pepper To Taste
3 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Basil
Dash Of Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
For Serving:
Grated Parmesan Cheese
Heat the oil in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, and add the garlic. As soon as the garlic begins to sizzle, but before it takes on color, add the tomatoes. Turn the heat to high, and as soon as the sauce begins to bubble, turn back down to medium low.
Season with salt and pepper, and red pepper flakes if you are using them, and add the basil. Cook just a couple of minutes more then remove from the heat and set aside until needed.
Place the ricotta in a fine strainer over a bowl and leave to drain in the refrigerator for one hour. Throw the liquid out and place the ricotta in a bowl with the flour, cheese, egg, salt and pepper. Mix just until blended.
In a non-stick skillet heat a little of the oil over medium heat and then drop the ricotta using a tablespoon spacing three small dollops in the pan at once. Cook the ricotta cake until it is golden brown on the bottom and then turn over. Cook until the other side is brown and then place on a warmed serving platter. Keep warm and continue to cook the cakes until all of the ricotta mixture has been used.
Serve two cakes per person on each plate with a dollop of the tomato sauce. Offer grated cheese at the table.

I use this sight a lot and have yet to find a bad recipe. One was not great but I also didn't measure carefully thinking that a little extra red in spaghetti sauce was a good thing but not so much.
